Xio 25
The Xio 25 has a 25 note keyboard and features a mono-timbral Novation
synth engine with 10-voice polyphony, with 3 oscillators (17 waveforms
each), 1 Filter (varying types), 2 LFOs (32 waveforms each), an
arpeggiator and a multi-effects board. The Xio features 200 hard-hitting
onboard patches, utilising a new optional filter distortion to produce
an even greater range of sounds than on previous synths; from the
distinctive clean British sound to the filthiest and grittiest of sonic
characters. Furthermore, 60 of the onboard sounds come from
internationally acclaimed artists and producers from a variety of
musical genres, namely James Zabiela, Ferry Corsten, Rennie Pilgrem,
Roots Manuva, Shimon and Skeewiff. As such, every one of the patches on
the Xio is eminently and instantly usable for creating synthesized music
of any kind. An ultra-low latency 2 In/2 Out audio interface for high
quality recording and playback is also included. This allows you to
record a microphone with phantom power, as well as simultaneously stream
the onboard synth audio directly to the sequencer via the USB cable.
Equally though, a guitar can be plugged straight into the Jack input for
DI recording, as well as simultaneously mic'd, and recorded with
outstanding results. |

Xstation 25
The X-Station 25 has a 25 note keyboard and features a host of
controls, providing instant access to its powerful synth engine.
Combined with a powerful multi-effects engine and a superb semi-weighted
key-bed with after-touch, X-station has become the synth of choice for a
number of todays influential artists. X-station also features MIDI
control and audio i/o, providing an all-in-one solution for the studio
environment and laptop live performance. The 3-oscillator virtual analog
synthesizer is based on the renowned Novation KS-series and is 8-voice
polyphonic. The extensive control interface provides instant access to
all key parameters, making it ideal for live performances. And forget
cables - the synthesizer is fully integrated: The stereo audio output is
sent straight through the USB cable onto the track in your sequencer via
ASIO. The keyboard employs a premium-class mechanism with semi-weighted
keys and aftertouch. Even if you're not a trained piano player you will
instantly feel the difference! Aftertouch, a joystick and the assignable
X/Y touch pad controller provide you with extra dimensions of expression
for your performances. It can run off batteries, power supply or USB.
X-Station's audio interface with two phantom-powered, hi-quality
converters, two Neutrik combined XLR and jack sockets, digital
S/PDIF out, and much more. Dedicated headphone and monitoring
connections with separate controls even allow you to work without a
mixer. What's more, the onboard DSP effects processor provides instant,
zero-latency multi-effects for monitoring or recording applications.
Each audio channel has its own effects chain. You can even record audio
with effects on one channel - and use the synthesizer on the second at
the same time! On top of that, X-Station has a built in MIDI Interface
on board, allowing you to integrate external MIDI Gear as well. Two
channels of onboard multi-effects are also available. Up to six effects
may be used simultaneously on each channel. The palette includes Chorus,
Delay, Reverb Distortion, EQ and a Compressor. The effects can be routed
for monitoring only (like giving the singer some Reverb while recording)
or for recording as well (e.g. recording a guitar with Chorus). Thanks
to the unique design, synthesizer and effects for incoming audio can
even be used at the same time! |

Remote 49SL Compact
The ReMOTE 49 SL COMPACT MIDI controller is the first keyboard to
provide an affordable route to automatic, instant and intelligent
control of all major sequencers and all automatable plug-ins. The SL
COMPACTs giant 144-character screen displays up to eight assigned
parameters at once, with the essential data laid out logically right
before the users eyes. Automap Universal software ensures that
little or no user setup is required. Sequencer controls are
automatically mapped to the SL COMPACT the moment the sequencer boots
up, whilst all VST or AU parameters are intuitively assigned as soon as
a plug-in opens. In addition, an instant click and control learn
function is available for quick custom assigning, providing personalised
plug-in control. The SL COMPACTs unique PAC (pointer-assigned
control) technology combined with its speed dial also help
to maximise efficiency by providing tactile control of any parameter on
which the mouse pointer rests in Automap Universal mode. In Automap
Universal mode, the number of controls is unlimited. In Manual Template
mode, the eight encoders and eight buttons with LEDs combine with eight
Group select switches to provide 64 different assignable parameters.
Eight large, velocity-sensitive trigger pads are also available, ideal
for triggering samples or sketching out beats. |

Remote 25SL mkII
The Remote 25SL Mk II has been designed to equip the modern DAW user
with every dimension of hardware control, enabling a hands-on approach
to navigating software, mixing and controlling plug-ins. It represents
extraordinary value as a controller, integrating a DAW control surface
with a quality semi-weighted keyboard (with after-touch) and the most
intuitive plug-in mapping capabilities available - presided over by
Automap 3 PRO; unquestionably the most advanced control software on the
market. It upholds Novation's reputation for building quality hardware.
Quality is not just reflected in their robustness, but more importantly
in the way the SL Mk II has been designed with every detail calculated
to maximise workflow. The SL Mk II's visually feeds back all controller
information to the user with back lit buttons and encoder LED rings. The
difficulty with other control surfaces is knowing what is assigned to
what. SL Mk II has a giant 144-character ultra-bright LCD screen that
displays all the parameter names and values for the currently selected
row of controllers. All 8 faders and 16 knobs are touch sensitive, so
the moment one is touched, the display shows the names and values on
that row and puts brackets around the controller that is currently being
touched. This enables the user to see which parameter is assigned to the
controller without having to change the value, or refer to their
software. There is also a dedicated 'Speed Dial' knob, which can be used
to change the value of any parameter the cursor is positioned over
without making any assignments whatsoever. |
